The element of water is deeply connected to the subconscious mind, the hidden realms of the feminine psyche, and our emotional body.
It is intimately linked to the womb, which is a sacred expression of the water element. In Eastern philosophies, water corresponds to the sacral chakra—the second chakra—associated with creativity, sensuality, and emotional flow.
Across many ancient cultures, water was revered as the source of life, carrying divine energy. In Taoist traditions, it symbolizes wisdom, intelligence, softness, adaptability, and the cycles of birth and death.
Our lives begin in water; for nine months, we are held and nourished within the fluid environment of our mother's womb.
For women, water resides within, governing the rhythm of our menstrual cycle. Through the ebb and flow of this cycle, we feel a wide range of emotions, sensations, and desires, reconnecting us with our femininity. When our cycle flows freely, we experience a deeper harmony with the cosmic waters that surround and move through us.
Water has a great sense of memory. Everything that happens around water is, in some way, stored in the molecules.
Water is life. Wherever water flows, life springs up within and around it.
